HE IS WALKING!!!

Nathan has finally decided to take the big step, and begin walking. He started a couple of weeks ago, but it wasn't until this past week that he converted fully to walking. In trying to keep up with Brenden he tries to run every once in awhile, which ends up in a face plant on the floor ( and he always laughs afterwards). It is really strange having two little men walk around the corner together, and think that they are our little babies.

The boys love wearing Dad's shoes. They think they are so funny and feel just like Matt when they put on his shoes. They have a little growing to do. :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NATHAN

We can't believe Nathan is already one!! It was just yesterday that we were walking calmly into the hospital, having dropped Brenden off at a friends house, to be induced. What a wonderful experience we have had as our family went from 3 to 4 at 1:35 PM on July 22, 2008.

Now Brenden and Nathan are best friends who like to wrestle, sing, talk, and scream with each other. We had a wonderful day!! It started out with an early morning Happy Birthday Song as Nathan woke up. Next it was the licking of the cake beaters, breakfast, lots of birthday errands (including 4 shots at the doctors), and ended with a night of celebrating.

Nathan loved his birthday dinner of pizza, jello, and salad. Then it was off to the big blue playground, and home for presents and cake.

Eating the cake beaters :)

Fun at the farm

Well there is a lot of catching up to do, but we will go ahead and jump to the more current events :) Spring has been great, and it is great because we are back to our family walks to the parks to watch baseball, soccer, or just play on the playground. We love our family time together!!

Brenden, Nathan and I have had the opportunity to go to a few fun playgroup activities to the farm, which we love!! That way I can ingrain into my boys head that animals are good to have as pets (especially dogs :) ).

Who is going to win?

Brenden loved how the rooster and hens kept talking to him

At the park

There are three parks we typically go to - the red park, the green park, and the big blue park :)
Brenden and Nathan love going on the slides and swings together~ Brenden especially loves pushing Nathan down the slide for mom and dad to catch him. A lot of the fun comes in going to the parks!! On our way we will usually see a lot of neighbors, bugs, dogs, birds, geese, ponds (we have to throw rocks in), rabbits, and Caterpillar nests (with tons of caterpillars to hold).

Brenden is a crazy sleeper!! This is how he fell asleep one night.

Some fun updates:

Brenden's current favorite song - "The Bath Song" This is on Mulan when they are getting her ready to meet the matchmaker. All of a sudden you will hear this little hummer humming the tune. He always asks to watch that part. However, lately the "fighting" song is taking a close second as he dances to it and does all of the moves shang does. :)

Brenden and Nathan after Brenden volunteered to help Nathan and himself decorate with bubbles.

Nathan: Officially started crawling backwards last week. Matt set him and Brenden down to watch the bath song from Mulan. Only a few moments later he heard rustling coming from the family room. Nathan had crawled back to our end table where we keep the magazines and was just reading the ensign.

Lately Nathan has found a way to get Brenden's popsicle, cereal, graham cracker, and brownie into to his mouth. He loves them all!!

If Nathan wants to rest he will just lay down. We often find him in this position, and he is still very much awake. He actually holds his straight face as you crawls to get him, and then will randomly perk up on his own and think it is so funny.

Mom and Brenden after a long day. We fell asleep at 9:30 which never happens.
